Harley-Davidson recalls 9,401 Sportster S motorcycles in US over crash risk


Harley-Davidson Motor Company is recalling 9,401 vehicles in the United States, according to a recall notice filed with the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).The recall covers certain models of RH1250S (Sportster S) motorcycles produced between 2021 and 2026.

The company said the upper triple clamp may fracture, affecting the steering system. “An upper triple clamp that fractures can lead to a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.”
The recall is listed under NHTSA and involves steering components. Dealers will inspect the motorcycles and replace the upper triple clamp if needed, free of charge.Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on February 19, 2026.

The recall expands a previous action identified as NHTSA recall number 25V590. Motorcycles that were repaired under the earlier recall will need to have the new remedy completed.
