The award was presented by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, at a ceremony marking the publication’s milestone year.

Positioned as a satirical take on the workings of the Hindi film industry, the show drew attention for its writing style and humour. Following its release, it secured the No. 1 spot on Netflix India and went on to feature in the platform’s Global Top 10 for non-English shows, trending across multiple territories. The series also found visibility internationally, including a feature on the Times Square billboard.

Written and directed by Aryan Khan, the show marked his directorial debut and signalled his formal entry into the entertainment industry. While he has previously stayed away from the spotlight as an actor, this project established him behind the camera. The series has since earned him multiple accolades, including the Debutant Director of the Year award at the NDTV Indian of the Year 2025 awards.

Produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, The Ba***ds of Bollywood features an ensemble cast comprising Lakshya Lalwani, Bobby Deol, Mona Singh, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Manish Chaudhari, Sahher Bambba, Gautami Kapoor, and Rajat Bedi, among others.
