West Indies records joint-most sixes in a T20 World Cup innings

West Indies recorded joint-most sixes in an innings during the T20 World Cup 2026 fixture against Zimbabwe at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday.

West Indies smashed 19 sixes as it put on a record 254 for six in the first innings, equaling Netherlands record against Ireland in the 2014 edition of the tournament.

For West Indies, Shimron Hetmyer hit seven sixes while Rovman Powell hit four. Sherfane Rutherford and Jason Holder hit two each while Romario Shepherd hit three. Brandon King hit one maximum as well.

Zimbabwe smashed 12 sixes in the second innings. The combined tally of 31 sixes is the most in a T20 World Cup game, breaking the record from Ireland v Netherlands from 2014 (30 sixes).
