WATCH: Axar Patel takes two superb catches as India holds nerve to beat England

Catches win matches, one of cricket’s most familiar lines, rang true once again in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 semifinal between India and England in Mumbai on Friday.

While England captain Harry Brook dropped a straightforward chance off Sanju Samson, who went on to make 89, Axar Patel ensured India did not repeat the mistake. The allrounder took two crucial catches during England’s chase at the Wankhede Stadium.

Ironically, one of those dismissals was Brook himself, with the other being Will Jacks.
