The objective of this campaign through ‘Suraksha Reloaded’ concerts is clear – to make road safety not just a message, but a habit of the people. In this, entertainment and stage presentations are being used only as a medium through which people can connect with this topic.
The journey started from Nagpur, where ‘Suraksha Reloaded’ concert was organized. People who are playing an active role in taking this campaign forward took part in this program. This campaign forced people to think about their careless habits while walking on the roads.
The program was started by Konkan Kanya Band, who presented a wonderful blend of Bollywood and regional music. His presentation seamlessly incorporated entertainment as well as the message of responsible road behaviour.
After this, Neha Thombare from Nagpur made people laugh a lot with her humorous style, but also forced us to think about our habits while walking on the road every day.
Then Ganesh Joshi, in his unique style, combined information and humor to explain to the people why road safety is important and it is the responsibility of every person.
At the end of the programme, Shri Nitin Gadkari shared the stage with Marathi actor Amey Wagh and filmmaker Nipun Dharmadhikari. He gave a simple and practical talk on road safety, in which people were made to realize their responsibility. This conversation was a good example of connecting policies directly with people.
‘Suraksha Reloaded’ in Nagpur not only increased awareness but also made people a part of the campaign. It made the message and rules simple and memorable to follow.
Road safety is not a one day campaign, it is a daily decision. If after this program people become even a little more cautious while walking on the road, then this campaign will be considered successful.
