WhatsApp is the world’s most used messaging app and now a big change can be seen in it. For the last few months, there were reports that WhatsApp is preparing to launch a new paid subscription plan, which may be named ‘WhatsApp Plus’. Now according to new reports, this feature is being tested for some selected users.
According to the report, WhatsApp Plus will be an optional subscription plan. This means that those who want to pay for it can take advantage of premium features, while normal WhatsApp will remain free as before. Sending messages, voice calls, community posts and other basic features will remain free for all users.
How much can the price be?
It is being told that the price of WhatsApp Plus can be $ 2.49 per month, which is approximately equal to ₹ 274 in Indian Rupees. Currently this plan is visible to some Android beta testers. Many special features are expected to be available with this plan. First of all, users will get exclusive sticker packs, which can be downloaded directly from the sticker store.
Apart from this, 18 different themes and colors can also be given to change the look of the app. With this, WhatsApp will look more personal and new than before.
Another big advantage will be that Plus users will be able to pin up to 20 chats. Currently, normal users can pin only 3 chats. With this, important conversations will always be at the top and you will not have to scroll down again and again.
Apart from this, some special themes, ringtones and notification tones can also be available only to paid users. This means that the use of WhatsApp can be made more custom. The report also says that this feature may also be available for iPhone users in the coming weeks.
Although WhatsApp has not yet made an official announcement, but if this plan is launched, it can be beneficial for those who want extra features and better personalization. Rest of the users will continue to use free WhatsApp as before without any problem.
