Bajaj Chetak C Series 2026: New speed, OTA update, price; Know how much has changed from before

Bajaj Auto has given significant upgrades to the entire range of its popular electric scooter Chetak for the 2026 model year. The new Chetak series has now been introduced with the name C Series, which includes C35, C30 and C25. Performance improvements, new technology and more features have been included in these updates, which will make Chetak more attractive and useful.

The biggest update has been seen in the top-spec variant C3501. Now Google Maps navigation has been directly integrated into it through Chetak app. This will provide riders with real-time navigation, traffic updates and route planning. Apart from this, support for OTA (Over-The-Air) updates has been added across the entire range, allowing the scooter’s software to be updated wirelessly.

Performance improved!

Big changes have also been made in terms of performance. Top speed has been increased across the entire Chetak range. The top speed of C3501 and C3502 variants is now 80 kmph, which was earlier 73 kmph. The C3503 and C3001 can now reach speeds of 70 kmph (earlier 63 kmph), while the top speed of the C2501 has been reduced to 60 kmph (earlier 55 kmph). Motor power in C3501 has also been increased to 4.8 kW, which was earlier 4.5 kW. This has improved acceleration and overall performance.

To further enhance the riding experience, Eco and Sport ride modes are now standard on the C35 and C30 series, which were earlier optional. Along with this, Hill-Hold Assist feature has also become standard in these variants, which prevents the scooter from slipping backward on slopes. Other features like 5 liter glovebox, overspeed alert and keyless access are also available.

Charging and range update

Improvements have also been made in terms of charging and range. The company has focused on fast charging capability. Battery performance and range have been optimized in the new series, although exact range figures will vary by variant. The lifeproof build and futureproof technology has been maintained in the design, combining the classic appeal of the Chetak with a modern touch.

new price

The updated Chetak range now starts at ₹91,504 (ex-showroom). There has been a slight increase in the price of the top variant C3501, which can go up to around ₹ 1.39 lakh. These upgrades make Chetak more competitive in the segment, especially best for young and tech-savvy customers.

Through these updates, Bajaj has not only made Chetak faster and smarter, but has also made everyday commuting more convenient and enjoyable. With Google Maps integration and increased speed, Chetak has now emerged as a strong contender in the premium electric scooter segment.
