Tata Harrier & Safari Ultra Red Dark Edition Diesel: Information from Price, Features to Engine, Performance

Tata Motors has introduced the top-spec Ultra Red Dark Edition in the diesel variants of its two popular SUVs Harrier and Safari. This variant was earlier limited to petrol models only. Now diesel lovers will also be able to enjoy premium features and styling. Talking about ex-showroom price, Tata Harrier Ultra Diesel Manual can be purchased for ₹ 23.84 lakh and Tata Safari Ultra Diesel Manual (7-seater) can be purchased for ₹ 24.49 lakh.

Both these variants come at the top end of the lineup. Bookings have now started at all Tata dealerships and the company’s website. With this launch, the company is giving complete options to those buyers who want torque and mileage of diesel engine along with top features. Design and interior

Ultra Red Dark Edition has been given Nitro Crimson exterior color, which gives a very attractive and sporty look. Both the Harrier and Safari come with blacked-out 19-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers and dark edition elements. This combination makes the SUV more aggressive and premium. The Red Dark Edition is positioned above the Fearless X+ and Accomplished X+ trims.

The cabin has Carnelian Red themed leather seat upholstery, which gives a sporty and luxurious feel. Details like white-brown dual-tone interior theme, sliding front armrest and 65W Type C fast charging port add to the premium feel.

Features and safety

Its feature list includes 36.9 cm (14.5 inch) Harman infotainment system (Samsung Neo QLED), Dolby Atmos audio system. VisioneX E-IRVM (Integrated Dashcam + DVR), VisionSync Memory ORVMs (Auto Reverse Dip), ClearView Dual Camera Washer System and Mappls Auto Navigation.

Engine and Mileage

Both are equipped with a 2.0-litre Kryojet turbo diesel engine, which generates 170 PS power and 350 Nm torque. It is available with 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The diesel engine provides torque and fuel efficiency for long distance journeys.
