What is the need to buy a new laptop? Make your PC as fast as a rocket with this trickZoom

With this little trick your old laptop will run super fast!

New Delhi. In today’s era, technology is changing so fast that even a 4-5 year old laptop starts looking like ‘junk’. Windows taking hours to open, browser hanging and laptop getting hot while loading software. These are the problems which every other user is troubled by. Most of the people give up and buy a new laptop by spending Rs 40-50 thousand whereas your old laptop is not fit for retirement yet. You can give it the speed of a brand new laptop by spending just around Rs 2,000.

Often we feel that our processor has become old, hence the laptop is slow. But the truth is that the HDD used in old laptops is their biggest weakness. There are rotating parts in the hard disk, which have a limit in reading data. Instead, if you install an SSD, the speed of your laptop can increase up to 10 times.

This combination of RAM and SSD will save thousands of rupees
To make your laptop a ‘rocket’ you just have to make 2 small changes:

  • Say goodbye to HDD, adopt SSD: A good company’s SSD of 240GB or 256GB is available in the market for just Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,800. There are no moving parts in SSD, due to which your laptop starts booting in just 10-15 seconds and even the heaviest software opens in the blink of an eye.
  • RAM Upgrade: If your laptop is running on 4GB RAM, then spend Rs 500-700 more and get another 4GB stick installed. After having 8GB RAM, you will be able to run multiple tabs and apps simultaneously without any ‘hanging’ problem.

How to do installation?
You can do this work yourself or get it done from any local repair shop by paying Rs 200-300. There is no need to throw away your old hard disk, by putting it in an ‘external case’ you can use it to store data like a pendrive. Along with hardware upgrades, get your laptop serviced once in a while. Due to accumulation of dust in the fan of an old laptop, it heats up and reduces its speed. Also, changing the thermal paste keeps the temperature of the laptop under control, which improves performance.
