Mumbai Indians stand-in captain Suryakumar Yadav will miss its IPL 2026 match against Punjab Kings in Dharamsala on May 14 due to “personal reasons.”
Suryakumar has been leading a struggling MI side in the absence of full-time captain Hardik Pandya, but misses out on Thursday’s match. Stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah said at the toss that he missed out due to personal reasons.

Suryakumar has struggled this season with bat in hand, following a middling T20 World Cup campaign with 195 runs from 11 innings at an average of 17.72.
Mumbai Indians has similarly floundered, winning just three of its 11 matches.
