New era of AI begins? There will be big revelations in Google I/O 2026, Chrome and AI will be smarter

Today Google’s biggest tech event Google I/O 2026 is starting from today (May 19) and the eyes of the entire tech world are fixed on it. This year also Google can introduce many big software and AI related updates for its users and developers. In the last few weeks, the company had already given a glimpse of the upcoming features through ‘The Android Show’.

How to watch Google I/O 2026 live- The main keynote of Google I/O 2026 will start at 10:30 PM Indian time (10 AM PT). The event is being organized from Shoreline Amphitheater, Mountain View, California, where Sundar Pichai will deliver the keynote address.

Users can watch it live directly on Google’s ‘Google for Developers’ YouTube channel. It can be easily streamed through browser or YouTube app on both mobile and laptop. Apart from this, developer keynote and technical sessions will also be live at different times.

What will be special in Google I/O 2026?
This year the biggest focus of the event is going to be on Artificial Intelligence (AI). Google can show major updates related to its multimodal AI models, media generation tools, robotics and intelligent agents.

Additionally, new infrastructure can also be introduced to ease the process of creating and deploying AI apps for developers.

Android 17 and new features
There may also be big revelations regarding Android 17 in this event. This OS is currently in beta testing and is expected to be launched by the end of this year. Google can show its performance improvements, large screen support, and features that make the experience better like desktop.

Chrome and web technology updates
Apart from this, work is also being done to make Google Chrome more smart and AI-powered. New web API, better speed and AI based browsing features can be seen in it. Google I/O 2026 may prove to be an event that decides the future direction of AI, Android and web technology.
