Xiaomi can bring new health tracking band
Xiaomi is continuously working towards strengthening its wearable segment and now the next big product of the company is being considered as a new smart band. According to recent reports, a new wearable device from Xiaomi has been spotted on Taiwan’s NCC and Singapore’s IMDA certification websites. These listings have further intensified the speculations about its global launch soon.
Although the company has not yet confirmed its official name or features, but based on the model number M2561B1, tech experts believe that it could be a part of the upcoming Xiaomi Smart Band 11 Active series.
It has also been told in the report that Xiaomi’s model numbering pattern has been working in the same way earlier also. For example, the company used model number M2551B1 for Smart Band 10 Pro and M2553B1 for its NFC version.
On this basis, the new M2561B1 model is being considered a part of the next generation i.e. Smart Band 11 series. This indicates that Xiaomi is preparing to upgrade its smart band lineup and may soon introduce a new fitness device in the market.
Expected change in charging
Apart from this, another interesting information has come to light regarding this new smart band. In the IMDA certification database, it is listed in the ‘Low Power Radio Equipment’ category, in which Wireless Power Transfer i.e. WPT is also mentioned. This could mean that this time Xiaomi may remove its old Pogo-pin charging system and introduce new wireless or inductive charging technology.
If this change proves to be true, then it will be a big technical upgrade for the Smart Band series and users can get even better convenience.
If we talk about the previous model, the company had recently launched Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro in China, which had powerful features like 1.74-inch AMOLED display, peak brightness up to 2000 nits and battery life up to 21 days. Apart from this, it also included health features like blood oxygen monitoring, heart rate variability (HRV) tracking and sleep monitoring. For this reason, it is expected that the upcoming Smart Band 11 series will come with even more advanced health and fitness features.
At present, no official announcement has been made by Xiaomi regarding this device, but the certification listings continuously appearing indicate that the company can launch this new smart band in the global market soon. Tech experts believe that after its launch, this device can once again present a tough competition in the budget fitness band segment.
