Jio has launched a new ₹199 prepaid plan, which is just ₹1 costlier than the ₹198 plan. Know which recharge can prove to be a better option for you according to the data, validity, 5G benefits and price of both the plans.
5G users or 4G users, who should choose which plan between ₹198 and ₹199?
Reliance Jio, one of the country’s largest telecom companies, has introduced a new ₹ 199 recharge plan for its prepaid users. Interestingly, the company’s old ₹198 plan is also still available. The price difference between the two plans is only ₹ 1, but the benefits offered are quite different. In such a situation, many users have a question as to which plan gives more value.
First of all, if we talk about ₹ 198 plan, it comes under the company’s True 5G Unlimited offer. This plan has a validity of 14 days. Users get the benefit of 2GB high-speed data, unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day. That means a total of 28GB data is available in the entire plan.
Apart from this, eligible 5G users also get the benefit of unlimited 5G data. Besides, access to services like JioTV and JioAICloud is also given.
The new ₹199 plan has been included in the value plan category of the company. Unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day are also available in this plan, but the data is given at 1.5GB per day. That means users get 27GB high-speed data. However, the biggest feature of this plan is its validity of 18 days, which is 4 days more than the ₹198 plan. In this also you get the benefits of JioTV and JioAICloud.
If we compare both the plans, then the ₹198 plan is better for those who use more data and have a 5G smartphone. 2GB data daily and unlimited 5G access makes it attractive for data-heavy users.
On the other hand, the ₹199 plan may prove beneficial for users who use 4G phones and want longer validity. 1.5GB data per day is enough for normal use and the additional validity of 4 days makes it an affordable option.
Who is better?
With a difference of just ₹ 1, both the plans have been designed keeping in mind different types of customers. If 5G and more data is important for you, then you can choose the ₹ 198 plan, whereas for users who want longer validity and lower daily expenses, the new ₹ 199 plan can prove to be a better option.
