Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt to play 100th T20I


The South Africa vs Pakistan Group A fixture of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in Birmingham will be skipper Laura Wolvaardt’s 100th T20I.

The 27-year-old opening batter has been one of South Africa’s most consistent run-scorers in the format, with 2,808 runs in 99 T20Is, including 16 half-centuries and three hundreds.

Wolvaardt has also grown into one of South Africa’s most important leaders over the years, having captained the side to the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup final and the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup final.

South Africa will look to bounce back after losing to Australia in its opening match, while Pakistan also comes into the contest after a defeat to India.
