Nothing was continuously teasing ‘B’ for the last few days and now the company has lifted the curtain on this suspense with the launch date. A microsite for this has also been made live on Flipkart, making it clear that after the launch, this smartphone will be available for sale through the e-commerce platform.
In the Nothing Phone (4b), the company will retain its signature transparent design. In the teaser image, exposed screws and internal design elements are clearly visible on the back panel. Flat sides and rounded corners can also be seen in the phone.
However, the biggest change is visible in the camera setup.
According to the official teaser, a single rear camera can be provided in the phone. At a time when even budget smartphones are coming with two or three cameras, this decision of Nothing is being considered quite different.
The camera module appears in a pill-shaped design, with which an LED flash is provided. According to reports, horizontal glyph bar can also be found in the phone like the phone (4a).
Possible Features
The company has not yet disclosed the hardware specifications, but according to leaked reports, the Nothing Phone (4b) may have Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, 5,500mAh battery and better build quality than before. However, official confirmation of these features will happen only on the day of launch.
After all, what is the new B Series?
Akis Evangelidis, co-founder of Nothing India, had recently given information about the new name. According to him, ‘b’ is not a short form of any word. The number indicates the generation of the phone, while the letter identifies its product segment.
The company says that the B Series has been brought to expand the portfolio, while the Phone (4a) series will remain in the category above it. That is, the phone (4b) has been designed keeping in mind those customers who want to buy a nothing smartphone at a low price.
New phone can replace CMF
Recently Nothing had clarified that no new CMF smartphone will be launched this year. The company had cited the rising prices of memory and other components as the reason for this. After this, discussions started that some products under CMF brand could be shifted to Nothing brand. It is believed that Nothing Phone (4b) could also be a part of the same strategy.
potential price
Nothing has not yet disclosed the price, but according to leaked reports, the price of the phone (4b) may be Rs 3,000 to 5,000 less than the Nothing phone (4a).
It is noteworthy that Nothing Phone (4a) was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 31,999. In such a situation, it is expected that the new phone (4b) can come in the range of around Rs 27,000 to 29,000.
If this happens, then it can become an attractive option for those users who want Nothing’s signature transparent design and Glyph style in a low budget.
