Redmi’s new budget phone arrived, will compete with the best with HyperOS 3 and 5160mAh battery

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has launched its new budget smartphone Redmi 17C in China. This phone is the successor of last year’s Redmi 15C and comes with features like large display, long battery and smooth performance at a low price. The company has introduced it in three attractive color options.

The price of 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of Redmi 17C has been kept at 799 Chinese Yuan (about Rs 12,000). Whereas 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model will be available for 899 Chinese Yuan (about Rs 13,000). This smartphone has been launched in Black, Danxia Red and Sea Breeze Blue color options.

The phone has a 6.88 inch HD+ display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate. With this, 240Hz touch sampling rate and brightness up to 600 nits is available. The screen has also received TÜV Rhineland Low Blue Light, Flicker Free and Circadian Friendly certification, which causes less strain on the eyes during prolonged use.

For performance, MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra octa-core processor has been provided in Redmi 17C. With this, the option of ARM Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage is available. Interestingly, the same processor was also used in Redmi 15C.

Camera is also basic
For photography, the phone has a 13MP rear camera, while for selfies and video calling, a 5MP front camera is available. Keeping in mind the everyday needs, the camera setup has been kept simple.

For connectivity, Redmi 17C has features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS and 3.5mm audio jack. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is also present for security.

The battery is powerful
The phone has a large battery of 5160mAh, which supports 18W fast charging. Although the company provides a 10W charger in the box. The thickness of the device is 8.22mm and its weight is 206 grams.

For users who are looking for a smartphone with big screen, long battery and reliable performance in low budget, Redmi 17C can become a good option. Currently, it has been launched in China and it is expected to be launched in other markets in the coming time.
