Tazmin Brits scores maiden hundred in South Africa vs Netherlands Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 match

South Africa opener Tazmin Brits scored her maiden century in the shortest format during the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 match against Netherlands on Thursday.

She reached her first T20I ton in 63 balls while smacking 15 fours and solitary six, which she hit in the 18th over off Hannah Landheer to bring up the three-digit figure.

Previously, Brits’ highest individual score in T20Is was 98 which she scored against West Indies.

She ended with a 69-ball 114 and helped South Africa post a daunting total of 208 against the Dutch.

This is also the second-highest individual score in the history of the Women’s T20 World Cup, with only former Australia captain Meg Lanning’s 126 against Ireland in 2014 bettering Brits’ mark.
