July’s main event is, of course, Go Fest 2026: Global! This event will be free for everyone, so make sure you login and play. It’s worth doing even if you’re busy, because you’ll unlock a Special Research quest which will reward you with a Zeraora encounter. Still, there’s other exciting events in July too, like the Raichu Super Mega Raid Day.
The Flying Taxi event is currently running and its brought Squawkabilly, along with its various colours, to Pokémon Go! The Forever Forward season is here, so it’s a good idea to know the June event schedule. Go Fest 2026: Global is just around the corner!
There’s a lot to do in Pokémon Go outside of the current event! From the Go Battle League, Remote Trading, PokéStop Showcase, Routes and Max Battles. Don’t forget to catch rare Pokémon while you’re at it.
Pokémon Go Legendary Raid schedule for July 2026
Here’s the Legendary five-star raid schedule for July 2026 in Pokémon Go:
| Date | Pokémon | Shiny? |
|---|---|---|
| Wednesday 1st to Sunday 5th July Monday 13th to Tuesday 14th July | Articuno | Yes |
| Wednesday 1st to Sunday 5th July Monday 13th to Tuesday 14th July | Zapdos | Yes |
| Wednesday 1st to Sunday 5th July Monday 13th to Tuesday 14th July | Moltres | Yes |
| Wednesday 15th to Tuesday 21st July | Kyogre | Yes |
| Wednesday 22nd to Tuesday 28th July | Solgaleo | Yes |
| Wednesday 29th July to Tuesday 4th August | Kyurem | Yes |
My recommendation for July’s five-star raid boss to focus on is Kyurem. It’s a good very-close-to-the-top-tier Ice-type, but, more importantly, getting a strong Kyurem leads to having a powerful Black or White Kyurem if you’ve got enough Fusion Energy to spare.
Pokémon Go Mega Raid schedule for July 2026
Below you’ll find the Mega Raid schedule for July 2026 in Pokémon Go:
| Date | Pokémon | Shiny |
|---|---|---|
| Wednesday 1st to Sunday 5th July Monday 13th to Tuesday 14th July | Mega Lucario | Yes |
| Wednesday 15th to Tuesday 21st July | Mega Sceptile | Yes |
| Wednesday 22nd to Tuesday 28th July | Mega Salamence | Yes |
| Wednesday 29th July to Tuesday 4th August | Mega Aggron | Yes |
Remember – you don’t catch a Mega Evolution from a Mega Raid. Instead, you get the Mega Energy for that Pokémon and an encounter with their regular form.
Mega Lucario is the obvious choice when it comes to which Mega Evolution you should focus on this month. Don’t forget about the global release of Mega Mewtwo X and Y during Go Fest 2026: Global though! Or the fact that Mega Raichu X and Y will also be released during July. (It’s quite a stacked month for Mega Evolutions when you think about it.)
Pokémon Go Max Battle schedule for July 2026
Here’s the Max Battle schedule for July 2026 in Pokémon Go:
| Date | Pokémon | Shiny |
|---|---|---|
| Monday 6th to Sunday 12th July | Chansey | Yes |
| Monday 13th to Sunday 19th July | Deino | Yes |
| Monday 20th to Sunday 26th July | Trubbish | Yes |
| Monday 27th to Sunday 2nd August | Hoothoot | Yes |
Don’t forget to check on the Max Monday schedule.
I recommend taking the time to catch a Dynamax Deino or two. Its final evolution, Hydreigon, can still pack a punch in the game’s meta so having a Dynamax version you can use in Max Battles wouldn’t do you any harm.
Pokémon Go Shadow Raid schedule for July 2026
Shadow Palkia will be appearing in 5-star Shadow Raids in July.
Shadow Palkia can be shiny!
Thankfully, this planning has been made a little easier due to how you can now use Remote Raid Passes for Shadow Raids. (If you’ve got the PokéCoin to buy the passes, that is…) Still, we recommend taking a quick read on how Shadow Raids work so you’re prepared for the fight.
Hope you enjoy July 2026 in Pokémon Go!
