Sooryavanshi became the youngest player to debut for the Indian men’s team in the second T20I, and managed 14 from 10 balls.
He was part of the squad for the two-match Ireland T20I series, but was not given his debut in either fixture.
The 15-year-old is coming off two impressive IPL seasons for Rajasthan Royals, playing 23 matches in the tournament so far and making 1028 runs at an average of 44.69. In his most recent inning, the final of the Sri Lanka A-Team ODI Tri Series against hosts Sri Lanka, the left-handed opener made 94 off 29.
