Google number-1 despite AI! Highest search in history in one day
Actually, after the advent of AI i.e. Artificial Intelligence, it was felt that people would now use AI chatbots more instead of search engines i.e. Google search engine. But Google’s latest data has proved this notion wrong. The world’s largest search engine Google has set a record for the highest number of users in its history in a single day. That means, on July 8, the biggest search in the history of Google took place. The topic was football.
Google search made record of usage
Google’s Senior Vice President Nick Fox has given this information. Nick Fox said that the enthusiasm of people all over the world regarding the FIFA World Cup is clearly visible on Google Search. As soon as the match ended on July 8, crores of people started searching for scores, players, statistics and other information related to the match, due to which the search traffic reached record levels. According to him, immediately after Argentina scored the winning goal in the World Cup match, the traffic on Google Search increased so much that it broke all the previous records. According to Nick Fox, July 8 was the busiest day in the history of Google Search.
What information did Nick Fox give?
Nick Fox posted on X, ‘Immediately after Argentina scored the winning goal in yesterday’s match, Google Search broke all previous usage records and saw the highest search usage in history. It’s great to see the excitement around the world for the World Cup… looking forward to the semi-finals and final! Looks like people are still using Google Search?
Data also confirmed
Nick Fox has also shared the data. According to his post, if you look at Statcounter, it shows that Google Search has increased slightly in terms of market share, which was 89.5% a year ago and became 91.25% in June. If we talk about mobile usage, Google’s share worldwide is more than 96%, which was 93.7% a year ago.
Why is this data important?
This data is also important because the trend of AI has increased in the last few years. After the arrival of ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI tools, the question was constantly being raised whether the era of Google Search is about to end. However, this record shows that during major events, people still resort to Google Search first. This means that despite the increasing popularity of AI tools, Google still remains people’s first choice for searching information on the Internet.
