East Zone squad for Duleep Trophy 2026-27 — Ishan Kishan to lead, Sooryavanshi named vice-captain

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi on Wednesday was named East Zone vice-captain for the upcoming Duleep Trophy set to be played next month with Ishan Kishan leading the team.

The 15-year-old, who made his international debut against England earlier this July, will be featuring in the zonal competition for the first time.

Out of favour pacer Mohammed Shami was also named in the squad, along with Mukesh Kumar.

East Zone will begin its campaign on August 23 and will take on North Zone in the quarterfinal. All games during this Duleep Trophy will be played at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
