Equator Entertainments’ much-anticipated drama Kesar Singh, produced by Parimal Shah and Vinit Shah, is creating waves as it nears completion. The film stars Bhumika Chawla in the titular role alongside Arbaaz Khan, marking a fresh and compelling on-screen pairing that promises to tug at heartstrings.

The music of Kesar Singh is in the hands of two-time National Award-winning lyricist Swanand Kirkire, whose poetic finesse is set to elevate the storytelling. Known for his ability to weave raw emotion into words, Kirkire’s lyrics promise authenticity and soul.

Swanand Kirkire opened about writing for Kesar Singh, and said, “The story of Kesar Singh touched me instantly. It’s raw, emotional and full of human truth. Writing for a character like Kesar—who rises again after breaking—required sensitivity and honesty. I wanted the songs to feel lived-in, like they belong to her journey. I’m proud to be part of this beautiful film.”

Deepshikha Nagpal spoke about her role and shared, “Kesar Singh moved me deeply when I first heard it. My character plays a significant part in Kesar’s transformation, and that responsibility excited me. The film is heartfelt, powerful and incredibly relevant. I’m grateful to be part of a story that says so much, so simply.”

Directed by Jasbeer, Kesar Singh has wrapped its shoot and is currently in post-production. The makers are gearing up for release soon, promising an emotionally rich cinematic experience that celebrates resilience, hope, and the triumph of the human spirit.
