Akash Deep sold to Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 1 crore in IPL 2026 Auction


India’s Akash Deep was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 1 crore in the IPL 2026 Auction on Tuesday.

Akash went unsold initially, but his name was brought back in the accelerated auction and was bought by KKR for his base price.

The Bengal fast bowler picked up seven wickets in five matches, bowling at an economy of 9.38 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26.

Akash Deep was bought for Rs 8 crores by Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2025 Auction.

The 29-year-old has played for two IPL franchises — Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He has featured in 14 games, picking 10 wickets bowling at an economy of 11.82.
