Ishan Kishan smashes 33-ball hundred for Jharkhand vs Karnataka in Vijay Hazare Trophy
Kishan’s whirlwind ton is the second-fastest by an Indian in List A cricket, just one delivery slower than Bihar captain Sakibul Gani’s 32-ball hundred against Arunachal Pradesh, which was also recorded earlier on Wednesday.
Fastest centuries by Indians in List A cricket:
| Name | Balls | Match | Date |
| Sakibul Gani | 32 | Bihar vs Arunachal Pradesh | December 24, 2025 |
| Ishan Kishan | 33 | Jharkhand vs Karnataka | December 24, 2025 |
| Anmolpreet Singh | 35 | Punjab vs Arunachal Pradesh | December 21, 2024 |
| Vaibhav Suryavanshi | 36 | Bihar vs Arunachal Pradesh | December 24, 2025 |
| Yusuf Pathan | 40 | Baroda vs Maharashtra | February 16, 2010 |
The knock capped a remarkable purple patch for the left-hander. Just last week, Kishan earned a surprise recall to the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup, days after leading Jharkhand to its maiden Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title.

Kishan finished the SMAT season with 517 runs, including a match-winning century in the final against Haryana. He became only the second batter to score a hundred in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final, reaching the milestone in just 45 balls — the third-fastest hundred in a men’s T20 tournament final. With five centuries in the competition, Kishan is now joint-most on the all-time list alongside Abhishek Sharma.
Kishan also owns the record for the fastest double century in ODI history, having reached the landmark against Bangladesh in 2022 off just 126 balls.
