Vaibhav Suryavanshi named India U-19 captain for South Africa One-Day series

Teen sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi was on Saturday named captain of the India Under-19 squad that will travel to South Africa ahead of the ICC men’s U-19 World Cup in Zimbabwe and Namibia. This will be the first time Suryavanshi dons the captain’s hat in professional cricket.

The said move from the Junior Cricket Committee comes after regular skipper Ayush Mhatre sustained a wrist injury, according to a statement published by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
