Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, producers Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta and singer Sonu Nigam attended the launch of the song ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ from Border 2 at Longewala-Tanot in Rajasthan. Bollywood Hungama attended the memorable event, which turned out to be a truly one-of-its-kind experience. Significantly, the song was launched at the historic site of the Battle of Longewala, the very battle on which the first part, Border (1997), was based. It added a powerful layer of emotion and nostalgia to the occasion. Sunny Deol gave a rocking speech. Varun Dhawan came next and he surprised one and all as he excited the jawans.

Border 2’s ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ song launch at Longewala-Tanot: Varun Dhawan’s patriotic speech leads to a frenzy among jawans; actors mouths massy dialogue from sequel, “Iss baar hum border mein ghusenge nahin, hum border hi badal lenge!”Varun Dhawan began by saying, “Sunny sir just said that he wanted to do a film on armed forces after watching Haqeeqat (1964). However, I had seen Border in my childhood and since then, I wanted to do a film where I can play a soldier only because of Sunny sir. Yeh himmat aur jazba poore desh mein aayi thi us waqt jab humne yeh picture dekhi thi. It made us realize that our country is so powerful. I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I’ll be a part of this song or that Border 2 will be made.”

Varun Dhawan continued, “I stand here and I can see posters of Operation Sindoor. Our country believes in aman, shanti and pyaar. Hence, it’s important for a film like Border to release as it gives an understanding to our youth that hamare desh mein woh himmat hai, jurrat hai aur jazbaa hai ki jab bhi koi hamari dharti ki taraf aankh utha ke dekhenge, toh hum unhe munh toh jawab de sakte hai!”

The armed forces hooted and clapped at this moment. Referencing to the creation of Bangladesh in 1971, he remarked, “If we can provide freedom to another country, we can also fight for our own freedom!”

The claps continued as Varun gave out a massy dialogue from Border 2, “Iss baar hum border mein ghusenge nahin, hum border hi badal lenge!”

Border 2 releases in cinemas on January 23.
