Canada made its maiden T20 World Cup appearance in 2024, where it finished fourth in Group A and managed to secure a win against Ireland. It qualified for the 2026 edition of the tournament by winning the T20 World Cup Americas Regional Final, where it won all six of its matches.
The Dilpreet Bajwa-led side will have its task cut out as it is placed in Group D, along with Afghanistan, New Zealand, South Africa and the UAE.
Canada will begin its campaign on February 9 against South Africa in Ahmedabad, before facing the UAE and New Zealand on February 13 and 17, respectively. It will conclude its group-stage campaign against Afghanistan on February 19.
