The early start of advances are suggesting a solid non-holiday opening for Border 2 in the range of Rs 40.00 crore, and this sets the path well for explosion over the extended Republic Day period. Border 2 is a sequel to the 1997 cult film, Border and the film was always expected to rake in strong response in advance.
The final advance for Border 2 will be around 2.25 lakh, which would be around 40 percent higher than the Hrithik Roshan, and NTR led War 2, which released on Republic Day and opened at Rs 28.50 crore. The direct comparison is giving the film a jump start of Rs 40 crore, and the mass belts are expected to be much stronger, giving it a push at better results.
Border 2 is expected to be the next big thing from the Hindi film industry after the December release, Dhurandhar.
