Border 2 Box Office: Film enters Rs. 300 crore club in just 10 days, next milestone is Rs. 400 crores :Bollywood Box Office

Rs. 300 crores, and counting!

In just 10 days, Border 2 has entered Rs. 300 Crore Club. The film has started with Rs. 32.10 crores on its opening day and now after 10 days, the film has crossed Rs. 300 crores milestone, hence averaging Rs. 30 crores per day. The film has scores more than Rs. 30 crores on its first four days (Friday – Rs. 32.10 crores, Saturday – Rs. 40.59 crores, Sunday – Rs. 56.20 crores, Monday – Rs. 63.59 crores), and while bulk of heavy lifting has been done right at the beginning, double digit scores on the other six days has ensured that the milestone has been achieved in quick time.

With Rs. 24.22 crores coming on Sunday, the film has ended the second weekend on a very positive note, though drops would come in now because holiday effect is not fairly and squarely though. There may be 50% drop evidenced today when compared to Friday which means around Rs. 6-7 crores will come in. It would be interesting to see if the makers opt for Blockbuster Tuesday offer tomorrow, though one hopes that it stays on to be business as usual, as that’s healthier for the film as well as the industry.

Close to Rs. 20-21 crores more are expected during the weekdays and that will ensure that Rs. 325 crores mark is crossed after the second week. While a lifetime score of Rs. 375 crores is there for the taking, it would need a really special third weekend to ensure that the film moves ahead of that mark. Nonetheless, with Rs. 301.89 crores already in its kitty, this one is a superhit now and whatever comes in more would only add on to its profits.
