Pune took resolution: ‘Suraksha Reloaded’ took steps towards responsibility

After a spectacular and powerful start in Nagpur, ‘Suraksha Reloaded Concert’ reached Pune. In this rapidly developing city, now is the important time to reshape the culture related to road safety by combining the right behavior and technology. The Road Safety Campaign, which is being run by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) in collaboration with NHAI and under the leadership of Shri Nitin Gadkari, has a simple objective – not just to create awareness, but to make road safety a daily habit of all of us.

In this program organized on 18 March 2026, the message was conveyed to the people through many influential people and creative presentations. The evening started with a spectacular sand art presentation by Nitish Bharti, highlighting the importance of seat belts, discipline and compassion on the road. Without speaking a word, this presentation made people think about their behavior while walking on the road.

After this, Pune Police Commissioner Dr. Amitesh Kumar talked about the real situation. He appreciated the efforts of Nitin Gadkari and MoRTH and drew attention to the increasing traffic problems in the city. Explaining the common mistakes like drink and drive, triple riding and driving in the wrong direction, he said that a little carelessness can cause big losses.

Giving further plans, he said that Pune is soon going to become the first city with 100% Intelligent Traffic Management System, where 550 intersections will be converted into smart signals. This is a big step towards safe and better traffic system.

After this, a street drama presentation produced by Pratidhwani Art Studio and Roshan took the message of the campaign ‘From Care to Duty’ to the people through everyday situations. Its simplicity made it easy to understand and effective.

Talented people like Shiv Thackeray and Aparna Tandale also shared their thoughts and explained how change can be brought about through entertainment. The program ended with a spectacular performance by Raga Fusion Band, which kept the atmosphere energetic.

The most special moment was when the entire audience stood together and took an oath to follow traffic rules and give priority to safety.

Pune’s ‘Suraksha Reloaded Concert’ became particularly memorable because it transformed awareness into resolve. The truth is that safe roads are not built in a day, but are built every day by the right decisions of people.
