For example, the price of OnePlus 15 was ₹ 72,999 at the time of launch, which has now increased to ₹ 77,999. Whereas its 16GB variant has reached ₹ 85,999. Similarly, OnePlus 15R, which was earlier available for ₹ 47,999, is now available for around ₹ 52,999. This means that in a few months an increase of about ₹ 5,000-₹ 6,000 has been seen.
Not only OnePlus, Nothing has also made its phones expensive. Nothing Phone 4a Pro, which was launched for ₹39,999, is now available for ₹44,999. Whereas the price of Nothing Phone 4a has increased from ₹ 31,999 to ₹ 34,999.
This trend is not limited to just these two brands. Many brands like Motorola, Realme, Redmi and Samsung are also gradually increasing the prices of their phones.
Why did everyone’s prices start increasing?
Now the question is why is this happening? The biggest reason for this is increasing component costs. Especially the prices of RAM (DRAM) and storage (NAND) are increasing rapidly. Due to the increasing use of AI technology, the demand for these parts has become very high, which has put pressure on the supply. Apart from this, the price of processor, supply chain problems and weakness of rupee are also the reasons for increasing the price.
Its impact is directly affecting the users. Where earlier people used to wait for a few months and buy phones cheaply, now the same phones are becoming expensive with time.
In such a situation, if you are thinking of buying a new phone, then waiting too long may not be the right decision. Because prices may increase further in the coming time. Although bank offers and discounts may provide some relief, the total expenditure will still remain high after the increase in base price.
