
Before the launch, Redmi has also shared information about many important features of the phone. Redmi Turbo 5 will be sold through Amazon India and the microsite for it has also gone live.
The company has confirmed that MediaTek Dimension 8500 Ultra processor will be available in Redmi Turbo 5. The same chipset is also given in premium smartphones like Xiaomi 17T. Redmi claims that this phone achieves more than 23 lakh score in AnTuTu benchmark. According to the company, its performance will be better than Vivo V70 and OPPO Reno 15.
Will get up to 24 GB RAM
The phone will have support for LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Redmi has also confirmed RAM support for up to 24GB, although this will also include virtual RAM.
To improve gaming, Redmi Turbo 5 will be provided with 3D Ice-Loop Cooling System, which will help in keeping the phone cool while playing games for a long time.
Talking about the display, the model launched in China has a 6.59 inch AMOLED display, which comes with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate and 3,500 nits peak brightness. A similar display is expected to be available in the Indian model also.
Battery can be the biggest feature of this phone. Redmi Turbo 5 has a large battery of 7,560mAh, which the company is calling the largest battery in any Redmi phone so far. Along with this, 100W fast charging support will also be available.
For photography, the phone can get a 50MP Sony primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. A 20MP front camera can be provided for selfie and video calling.
Apart from this, the phone is also expected to get IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings, due to which it will provide better protection from dust and water.
