Hero Splendor continues its glory! Huge sales, good demand for Shine and Pulsar

Along with stability, some changes were seen in the Indian two-wheeler market in June 2026. Total sales of top 10 motorcycles stood at 8,66,045 units, showing an increase of 35,284 units (4.25%) as compared to 8,30,761 units in June 2025.

Hero Splendor once again maintained its dominance and achieved 40.76% market share. Honda Shine stood at second position, while mixed trends were seen in both premium and entry-level segments in the market. Some models showed great growth while some showed huge decline. Overall, there are signs of market recovery, where along with affordable commuter bikes, retro and sporty models are also attracting the attention of customers.

1. Hero Splendor

Hero Splendor remained the country’s best selling motorcycle even in June 2026. It sold 3,53,024 units, registering an increase of 21,967 units compared to last year’s 3,31,057 units, which is an annual growth of 6.64%. The huge market share of 40.76% proves that the reliability, low maintenance and mileage of Splendor is still unmatched in both rural and urban areas. This flagship product of Hero MotoCorp alone contributed more than 40% to the total market sales.

2.Honda Shine

Honda Shine performed strongly in second place. Its sales in June 2026 were 1,67,572 units, which is 24,354 units more than last year’s 1,43,218 units. With an impressive growth of 17% and 19.35% market share, Shine proved that it is gaining ground in the mid-range commuter segment. Better fuel efficiency, comfort and brand credibility of Honda are attracting young buyers.

3. Bajaj Pulsar

Bajaj Pulsar stood third, but its sales registered a decline of 12.49%. 77,406 units were sold in June 2026, while 88,452 units were sold last year. Despite 8.94% share, negative growth is a matter of concern. Despite sporty performance, the impact of change in preferences of young buyers or increase in competition is visible.

4. TVS Apache

TVS Apache made a great comeback. Its sales reached 55,382 units, which is 13,996 units more than last year’s 41,386 units. Apache, which gained 6.39% share with a strong annual growth of 33.82%, is increasing its popularity among sporty riders. The right combination of performance and styling is proving to be its main attraction.

5.Hero HF Deluxe

The biggest decline was seen in the sales of Hero HF Deluxe. Only 44,292 units have been sold in June 2026, whereas last year this figure was 1,00,878 units. With a sharp decline of 56.09%, its market share remained at 5.11%. Perhaps consumers are now shifting towards models with more features, which has affected the demand for basic bikes like HF Deluxe.

Apart from the top-6 bikes of the segment mentioned above, 40,660 units of Classic 350, 37,617 units of CB Unicorn, 36,983 units of Rider, 26,621 units of Platina and 26,488 units of Bullet 350 have been sold.
