Difficulty for hackers will increase! WhatsApp is bringing such a feature which every user would like to know, you will get alert on weak password.

WhatsApp is preparing to further strengthen the security of its users. If you use Two-Step Verification in your WhatsApp account, then you may see a big change in the coming time. According to a new report, the company can now bring the option of giving password instead of 6 digit PIN. With this your account will become more secure than before.

According to the report of WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new security feature. Currently, in Two-Step Verification, only a 6 digit PIN has to be set. But in the new system, users will be able to create a strong password by mixing letters and numbers.

Such a password would be very difficult for anyone to guess or hack easily. This feature can be especially beneficial for those people who share banking related information, important documents or other personal information on WhatsApp.

weak password will not work

According to the report, WhatsApp will also check whether the password you have created is strong or not. If the password is too simple, the app may ask you to change it. Its purpose is that the user should keep such a password which cannot be easily broken by anyone. It will still be necessary to verify the phone number

Even after the new password comes, the login method will not change completely. First of all, as usual, you will have to verify the number by entering the SMS OTP received on your phone number.

After this, if you have turned on Two-Step Verification, then you will also have to enter your created password. This means that another layer of security will be added to login to the account.

Will not be necessary for every user

It is worth noting that Two-Step Verification is still an optional feature. That means, if you have not turned it on, then this change will not have any effect on your account. Only those who wish will be able to use this additional security.

Currently testing is going on

Right now this feature is in its initial stages. WhatsApp has not officially announced its launch date. It is possible that the company may release it in the upcoming updates, or may roll it out after making some changes. So for now users will have to wait a little for this.

If this feature is launched, then WhatsApp account can become more secure than before and the risk of cyber attacks will also reduce to a great extent.
