Bihar beat Manipur by six wickets in the Plate Group final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 on Tuesday to secure qualification for the Elite League for the next season.
Right-arm medium pacer Shabbir Khan set up Bihar’s win with a seven-wicket haul as Manipur was bowled out for 169 after being inserted.
Bihar finished off the chase in 31.2 overs, with No. 3 batter Ayush Loharuka scoring a 72-ball 75.
With this, Bihar ended its Plate Group campaign with an all-win record, having triumphed in all five of its league-stage matches.
Teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi was part of the Bihar lineup for two of those games, scoring 221 runs, including a blistering 190 against Arunachal Pradesh.
