T20 World Cup 2026 Warm-ups: India A hands 130-run defeat to Namibia; Italy beats UAE

India A handed a heavy 130-run defeat to Namibia in the T20 World Cup warm-up match held at the CoE Ground in Bengaluru on Friday.

After Riyan Parag’s 39-ball 69 took India A to 197 for eight, a combined bowling effort bowled out Namibia for 67 inside 13 overs.

Gurjapneet Singh, Mayank Yadav, Ashok Sharma, and Vipraj Nigam picked two wickets each while Ayush Badoni and Ravi Bishnoi claimed one each as well.

Only Jan Frylinck (12) and Dylan Leicher (22) entered the double digit figures from Namibia.

Earlier, India A opted to bat and lost Priyansh Arya and Urvil Patel early in the innings. Naman Dhir and Parag then added 111 runs for the third wicket before both fell in the 14th over.

Ashutosh Sharma scored 35 off 21 balls to help India A finish close to the 200-run mark.

In the other game played at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Italy thrashed UAE by 112 runs.

The Mosca brothers—Justin and Anthony—led the charge opening the innings, scoring 81 runs inside seven overs before Menanti family—Harry and Benjamin—along with Grant Stewart got the team to 193 for seven in the alloted 20 overs.

In reply, UAE lost wickets in cluster with Stewart and Crishan Kalugamage picking three wickets each. JJ Smuts also chipped in with a couple of wickets to bowl his opponents out for 81.
