Anupam Thareja, co-founder, Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, said, “The Jawa 42 rewrote the classic playbook back in 2018. It showed what the Indian rider could expect from a true neo-classic… We are recognising this mood with the Ivory, a colour that lets riders discover Jawa’s understated cool at their own pace.”
First introduced in 2018, the Jawa 42 was positioned as a neo-classic motorcycle aimed at younger riders and designed to stand apart in the mid-size classic segment. Its pastel colour options and design-focused silhouette marked its entry into the category. The Ivory version carries “forty-two” lettering in a vintage font on the fuel tank and rear fender. The side panel and headlight nacelle also display the number 42. A chequered flag graphic appears on the tear-drop fuel tank, referencing racing motorcycles of the 1960s and 1970s. The offset instrument console and overall neo-classic silhouette continue.
The motorcycle is powered by a 294cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 27.32 PS and 26.84 Nm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox, an assist and slipper clutch, optimised gearing and throttle mapping, refined NVH levels, and suspension tuned for Indian road conditions.
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has priced the Jawa 42 Ivory at ₹1,84,950 (ex-showroom New Delhi). It is available through more than 450 authorised dealerships across India.
Under the Ownership Assurance Programme, the company offers a 4-year or 50,000-km standard warranty, with options for extended warranty, roadside assistance and maintenance coverage across its nationwide network.
